Sillustani is located 34 km from the city of Puno and is one of the largest and most impressive Necropolis of America and the World. The chullpas, which are tombs, are gigantic funerary monuments built in different times and cultures. Juli is known as the little Rome of America, located 80 km from the city of Puno, has a cultural and religious center since the Colony, its urban architecture and its landscapes are impressively conserved, as well as the four temples that maintain a great amount of pictorial works of Cusco and Italian schools.
18 km from the city of Puno is Chucuito, the former capital of the Lupakas in Kolla culture. In Inca times a monument was built for fertility called «INKA UYO», in the form of a male member, and to this day the Temple of Fertility is one of the most visited places in Chucuito.
Known as «city of 7 wonders», 75 km from the city of Puno, Lampa, the city Rosa, has as main attractions its archaeological ruins. The famous Replicas La Pieta by Michelangelo, the Parish Church of Santiago Apostle, the Farm of the Chinchilla, its Folklore, its Thermal Waters and the Stone Bridge form the beauty of the 7 wonders.
The main tourist attractions of Ayviri are the canyons of Tinajani known as Devil’s Bath, its geological formation is so capricious and impressive that it causes the admiration of explorers and geology scholars. The Colonial Temple dedicated to St. Francisco of Assis and also the thermal baths.
The islands of Uros are floating, built on the basis of Totora, in them live the oldest people of America, who preserve their customs and beliefs. The inhabitants live from fishing, hunting, handicrafts and transport with totora boat.
Located 38 km from the city of Puno, arriving on the island of Amantaní is living the same adventure of Taquile only that can go even higher, up to 4150 m in height.
